The 7. International Conference on Speckle Metrology – SPECKLE2018
The goal of the Speckle2018 conference was to discuss and exchange ideas between scientists, engineers, and students dealing with speckle metrology and related techniques. This three-day conference consisted of high-level presentations from scientist from across Europe, America, and Asia, was an excellent platform and opportunity to interact with various optics specialist and have discussions.
SPIE Photonics West 2018
The main purpose of visiting San Francisco was to take part in the Photonics West 2018 conference. The conference is the largest meeting of people from photonics and biomedical optics fields and gives the great opportunity to discuss and see current progress from these fields. The conference was attended by: Dawid Borycki, Michał Hamkało and Yuriy Stepanenko.
Microsoft Build 2018
Dawid Borycki participated in the Microsoft Build 2018 conference. The aim of this visit was to learn about new software technologies used in Professor Wojtkowski lab. Dawid was particularly interested in the artificial intelligence for computer vision and the intelligent edge.
EGAS 50
Julia Sudyka participated in the EGAS'50 (The European Group on Atomic Systems) conference that took place in Krakow. The conference topics are atomic, molecular, and optical physics. She presented a poster entitled “Optically induced Bloch-Siegert shift in magneto-optical resonances".
Biophotonics Congress Biomedical Optics
Dawid Borycki participated in the Optical Society of America (OSA) Biophotonics Congress Biomedical Optics. The main aim of this visit was to give a talk entitled Correlation gating quantifies optical properties of dynamic media in transmission mode.
Code Europe Spring 2018
Dawid Borycki participated in theCode Europe Spring 2018 conference. The visit aimed to give two talks. Titles and short abstracts of these presentations are presented below. Presentations were recorded by the organizer and will be published on their YouTube channel.

Widening Lithuanian Research Potential
On the 21st November 2017, in Vilnius, Patrycja Nitoń and Monika Wydorska took part in the conference “Widening Lithuanian Research Potential” organized by Research Council of Lithuania and Lithuanian RDI Liaison Office LINO. The aim of the conference was to discuss Horizon 2020 measures under the programme “Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation”, Lithuanian and other Widening Member States experiences related to applying and participating in the Teaming, Twinning and ERA Chairs projects.
The 44th Congress of Polish Physical Society
Professor Maciej Wojtkowski participated in the 44th Congress of Polish Physical Society in Wroclaw, with a plenary lecture entitled "Journey from organs to cells: In vivo imaging by spatio-temporal optical coherence techniques".
The Congress of Polish Physical Society is the oldest Polish physics conference, with its history reaching back to the Inaugural Meeting held in Warsaw in 1923 and since then it has been organized in various cities in Poland by local branches of the Polish Physical Society.
Polish Optical Conference 2017
Professor Maciej Wojtkowski participated in the Polish Optical Conference 2017 in Gniezno, with a plenary lecture entitled "Time-frequency modulation of light phases in imaging".
The Polish Optical Conference was organized by the Optics Division of the Polish Physical Society. The aim of this conference is to integrate the Polish opticians. Participation in Polish Optical Conference gave an opportunity to meet and exchange views with wide range of people, for whom the development of Polish scientific thought, engineering and teaching in the field of optics is important.
