Widening Lithuanian Research Potential

On the 21st November 2017, in Vilnius, Patrycja Nitoń and Monika Wydorska took part in the conference “Widening Lithuanian Research Potential” organized by Research Council of Lithuania and Lithuanian RDI Liaison Office LINO. The aim of the conference was to discuss Horizon 2020 measures under the programme “Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation”, Lithuanian and other Widening Member States experiences related to applying and participating in the Teaming, Twinning and ERA Chairs projects. The attendees benefited from insights presented by Ms. Magda de Carli, Head of Unit for Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation, Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, European Commission, and presentations delivered by other invited speakers. The discussion allowed to formulate the expectations for the new financial period after 2020.

During the conference Patrycja Nitoń presented a successful story of being granted the CREATE project (“CREATE project - experiences from preparation and implementation of the ERA Chairs grant“). The presentation was followed by discussion and sharing good practices.

The participation in this conference was a great opportunity to share good practices, promote the CREATE project and establish international cooperation with the representatives from Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian research institutions.
